BidWerX.com Services & Fees

The only insertion fees at BidWerX.com Online Auctions apply to Regular Auctions, Dutch Auctions and Auction Shops , are "Featured item" or "Bold Type" options with the Reserve/Buyback fee for all Reserve auctions. These are as follows :

Featured Items will be rotated through the "Featured Items" display on the BidWerX.com home page, as well as being listed at the top of the category in which the item is listed.

The Bold Type option uses bold type in the Item title to make the item stand out from the others in a given category.

The Reserve/Buyback option lets the seller set a price that they are willing to accept to ensure the item does not sell below that price. The Reserve feature text (Reserve) will remain attached to the item until the reserve price is met. This feature is available to all items in any category.

Commission Fees:

Commission Fees are calculated using a sliding scale percentage, and are based on the winning bid in a Regular Auction, the lowest winning bid in a Dutch Auction times the number of items, and the Reserve Price in a Reserve/Buyback Auction. The scale is as follows:

$0.00 to $1,000.00	~~2.5%~~
$1,000.01 and upward	~~1.25%~~

The commission fees are cumulative.

Cumulative Example : Bids are received and item sold for $2,500.00. The commission due to BidWerX.com is 2.5% of $1,000.00 = $25.00 + 1.25% of the portion of the price above $1,000.01 (1.25% of $1,500.00 = $18.75).
Total = $25.00 + $18.75 = $43.75

Regular Auction Example : An item is listed as a Regular Auction, with a price of $300.00. Bids are received and item sold for $500.00. The commission due to BidWerX.com is 2.5% of $500.00 = $12.50,
Total = $12.50

Dutch Auction Example : Ten items are listed as a Dutch Auction auction, with a price of $100.00. Two bids are received and two of the items sold for $100.00. The commission due to BidWerX.com is 2.5% of $100.00 = $2.50 x 2.  Total = $2.50 x 2 = $5.00
If five bids are received and five item sold for $100.00. the commission due is 2.5% of $100.00 = $2.50 x 5.  Total = $2.50 x 5 = $12.50

Reserve/Buyback Auction Example : An item is listed as a Reserve/Buyback auction, with a reserve price of $3,000.00 a Buyback fee of $2.00 is due Bidwerx.com.   If item is sold the $2.00 Buyback fee is not charged to the seller.  If bids meet or exceed the reserve price and the item sells for $3,500.00 the commission due to BidWerX.com is 2.5% of $1,000.00 = $25.00 + 1.25% of the portion of the reserve price above $1,000.01 (1.25% of $2,500.00 = $31.25).
Total = $25.00 + $31.25 = $56.25

Cost - (Rent free till March 31, 2004)~~Limited Time Only, Price Subject to Change Without Notice~~ - Auction Shop rent is $10.00 per month. A three (3) month minimum commitment is required for a Auction Shop agreement. A $100.00 pre-payment for one year of rent saves $20.00. No listing fee for items in your Auction Shop.

A three month pre-payment of $30.00 is required and you must have a credit card on file. Billing will be conducted as described in BidWerX.com Billing Accounts.

Commission Fees are are cumulative and charged at the same rate as our other auctions.
